I was told by the Apple authorized service center (imagine store on 27th main, HSR) that my son’s mac air likely had motherboard problem. They will take 6-7 days to provide me a quote. They would order the replacement parts from Mumbai and would fix the machine in 2 weeks !! I took it to iRepair place in Kormagala. Within 5 minutes, Anil came out and told me that there is loose connector. They would clean the machine and give it back. No charge. On one hand, we have the bureaucracy and incompetence of Apple service in India and the other, gems like iRepair/Arun/Arvind. My son had 1 day to take his final semester exam and unfinished project. This was a lifesaver !!
